Web 2.0 = Folklore 1.0     {Download Original Size}

Drawn by Beck Tench on January 21st, 2010

In late January and early February of 2010 I helped out with a two-part panel and workshop series for the North Carolina Folklore Society. The first part of the series was a panel “Get Plugged In: Social Networking for Artists, Folklorists, Cultural Workers & Organizations” with Martha King and Shane Hudson. These were my personal notes for the talk and I uploaded them to Flickr afterward for the attendees. I also set this as my desktop background so that I could refer to it during the workshop as we ran through various productivity and search lessons I’ve learned in my work at the museum.

COLOPHON: This website was created with pen, paper, Wordpress, JQuery and Blueprint CSS. A special thank you to Andrei Michael Herasimchuk for Liquid Blueprint CSS, Joshua Sowin for Blueprint Wordpress Theme, and Kelvin Luck for JQuery Styleswitcher Toggle, each of which made this site possible despite my meager programming skills. Drawings are hosted on Flickr.
